Three persons were reportedly killed and nine other injured, when a HRTC bus rolled down at Chatrod Nullah, about seven kilometers from Mandi today morning.
Accident happened when Himachal Roadways bus, while trying to save a motorcycle, which collided with the bus, lost control and rolled down at Chatrod Nallah. Both motorcycle riders died on the spot, while a person, traveling in the ill fated bus, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Governor Urmila Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have expressed grief over They prayed Almighty to give peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved family members to bear their loss.
Chief Minister directed the district administration to provide immediate relief as per the manual to the next of kin of the deceased and also best treatment to the injured.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anil Sharma had also visited Zonal Hospital Mandi and enquired the well being of the injured.
Transport Minister G.S. Bali has also expressed grief over the accident.
