Himachal Pradesh BJP ex-servicemen cell thanked the ex-servicemen (ESM) for their support for the BJP in the recently concluded parliamentary election.
Brig LC Jaswal, Convener ESM, in a press communiqué, stated that the huge winning margin of BJP candidates indicates the overwhelming support from ESM.
He accused congress party for befooling the ESM by announcing the One Rank One Pension (OROP) days before the general elections without any follow up action such as notification or directions to the pension disbursing authority. He pinned hope in Narender Modi to sanction OROP at the earliest.
Brig Jaswal stated that the Congress led Govt attitude had always been anti ex-servicemen and pension of Rs 3500 to widows of ESM (even after laps of 12 years) was an example of it.
He also accused Congress for adopting double standard in non functional upgradation, assured carrier progression and allotment of funds for ECHS for ex-servicemen.
Jaswal also congratulate former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal for his excellent leadership and demanded Virbhadra Singh resignation on moral ground.
