Pune: Host Maharashtra routs Himachal cricket team by 10-wicket in their Group C Ranji Trophy match played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
With the emphatic victory, Maharashtra got seven points. Chasing paltry 60 runs target, Maharashtra chased in just 13.1 overs without losing any wicket.
In the first inning Himachal team bowled out for 228 in just 76.2 over. Prashant Chopra was top scorer with 47 in first inning. Maharashtra responded well in first inning and declared after pilling up 488 for 6 wickets in 145 over. Ankit Bawne scored unbeaten century (138), whereas Dhawan and Malik took two wickets each.
In the second inning, Himachal batsmen tried to save lone point. With the emphatic victory Host Maharashtra got all seven points, whereas Himachal couldn’t add any points in its tally. After this lose, table toper Himachal has slipped to third place.
