The State Government would ensure adequate representation of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes incumbents in services besides ensuring efficiency in administration in terms of Article 335 of the Constitution. This was stated by Thakur Gulab Singh, Revenue Minister while presiding the Cabinet Sub Committee Meeting constituted to consider the matter regarding implementation of the 85th Amendment in Constitution Act, 2001 and assignment of seniority to Government servants belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes on promotion by virtue of Rule of Reservation /Roster. Thakur Gulab Singh added that the Sub Committee would take into consideration all aspects before final recommendations are placed before Cabinet.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Ajay Mittal, and Manisha Nanda, Principal Secretary, Personnel also attended the meeting.
