The bone chilling cold wave conditions remained unabated in most parts of Himachal Pradesh as temperature in some parts of the state dipped even below minus 10 degree Celsius.
Tribal areas reeled under bone chilling cold with Keylong recording a low of minus 17 degree Celsius. Kalpa recorded minimum temperature at minus 9.2 degree Celsius, while Manali shivered under minus 6 degree Celsius, followed by Bhuntar minus 1 degree Celsius, Solan and Sundernagar minus 0.7 degree Celsius, Shimla 1.6 degree Celsius, Palampur 2.7 degree Celsius, Una 3 degree Celsius and Nahan and Dharmasala 4.5 degree Celsius, 3 degree Celsius below normal.
However, maximum day temperatures rose marginally as bright sun shone over the region and Una was hottest in the region with a maximum of 23 deg while Sundernagar recorded a high of 20 degree Celsius, followed by Dharamsala 18.4 degree Celsius, Solan 18 degree Celsius, Bhuntar 17.8 degree Celsius, Nahan 15.8 degree Celsius and Shimla 13 degree Celsius.
The MeT office in Shimla has predicted dry weather in the state during the next 48 hours inspite of a fresh feeble Western Disturbance as an upper air system likely to affect the western Himalayan region from Wednesday onwards.
