The Chief Election Commission has directed Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to take immediate action on complaints regarding pressurizing of postal ballot voters.
Earlier, CEC revealed that the Commission has received complaints against some candidates and parties that efforts are being made to influence the postal ballot voters. CEC stated that in this regards all the Returning Officers be directed to act immediately in case of any such complaint. Some complaints have been received that efforts are being made by some candidates to woo the postal ballot voters.
Elections were held for 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly on November 4 but the postal ballots can be cast up to December 20, the date of counting.
