Himachal unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) announced to contest all 68 seats in the forthcoming assembly poll. Party announced to give 33 per cent ticket to educated women and ensure that well-educated youth will be given chance to contest election.
In a press conference at Bilaspur, state BSP vice-president Sukh Ram Chauhan stated that the party had started its programmes to enable it to contest seats and had formed a number of committees to finalise panels of names. He said that to make mark this time BSP has already launched a membership campaign in the state and it would ensure that all sections of the population were approached for becoming members.
