State Election Commission (SEC), Himachal Pradesh has modified the election programme for the conduct of by-election of Panchayati Raj Institutions of Mandi and Bilaspur districts.

According to notification, nomination papers can be presented on 7th, 10th and 11th December, 2012 (Between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm).

The nomination papers would be scrutinized on 12th December, 2012 (From 10:00 am onwards). A candidate can withdraw his candidature on 14th December, 2012 (Before 3:00 pm). List of contesting candidates showing the name of symbol allotted to them shall be prepared and affixed on 14th December, 2012 immediately after the time of withdrawal is over. The List of polling stations will be published on or before 7th December, 2012.

The poll, if necessary would be held from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on 25th December, 2012.

Counting of votes for Members, Up-Pradhans and Pradhans of Gram Panchayats shall be taken up on the date of poll immediately after the close of the poll at the Gram Panchayat Headquarters.

The result of the election of Member, Up-Pradhan and Pradhan of Gram Panchayat shall be declared on the date of the poll immediately after the counting is over at respective Gram Panchayat headquarters. The election process shall be completed by 28th December, 2012.
