New Delhi: BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Thursday criticized West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee for not attending Centenary Celebrations of Vishwa Bharti University.

Nadda termed the absence of Mamata Banerjee as a big disrespect towards Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and a direct attack on the federal structure of our democratic republic.

In a series of tweets, the BJP President JP Nadda said the prestigious and world famous Vishwa Bharti University established by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore is not just an institution of national importance, but it is also recognised with West Bengal world over.

Nadda said Prime Minister Narendra Modi today joined the Centenary Celebrations of the Vishwa Bharti University, but only due to her political animosity Mamata Banerjee did not join the important function of the prestigious institution.

Nadda said just for the sake of her false ego and pride Mamata Banerjee insulted Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and India’s federal structure.

Nadda said the path of false ego, animosity, hatred, falsehood and torture which Mamata Banerjee is following is not attuned to the rich culture and ideals of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and Swami Vivekananda, it is not synonymous with the culture and values of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, it is not the culture and tradition of Bengal.

Time and again Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress has insulted and demeaned the great culture, traditions and ethos of West Bengal, Nadda further added.

Nadda said the people of West Bengal will demolish the false ego and pride and will give the BJP chance to build ‘Sonar Bangla’.
