RSS not into politics, member of any political party can join Sangh: Dutt

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh BJP leader and party vice-president Ganesh Dutt said that the RSS is not into politics and it only teaches values all those who comes into its fold.

Criticising Congress leaders for accusing RSS of controlling the state government, Dutt said the Sangh only promotes the values of nationalism and patriotism irrespective of caste or religion.

“Congress leaders should remember that India’s former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam used to attend RSS programmes and he used to praise the values and discipline of the organization,” he reminded.

Not only Dr Kalam but former President Pranab Mukherjee too had participated in RSS event and other noted citizens of the country too believed in the ideology of the organization, Ganesh Dutt further added.

Dutt said those who knew about the RSS, are also aware of the fact that it’s a non-political organization and members of any political party can become its members.

He urged Congress leaders to attend programmes and events of RSS so that they could be aware of the ideology.

Ganesh Dutt also termed Congress leaders opposition of ‘Saffron’ colour uncalled for and said the colour signifies the culture and ancient heritage of the country anddevotion and sacrifice.

RSS is widely regarded as the parent organisation of the BJP, and opposition Congress accusing BJP led state government for working under the direct influence of RSS in the state. Most of the Congress leader again and again accused RSS for mediating into the government affair. Recently newly appointed Congress state president Kuldeep Singh Rathore has claimed that the RSS control over the state government and thus the Chief Minister inability to take any independent decision.
