The State Election Commission has invalidated all the proceedings undertaken for the conduct of by-election for a member from ward No. 3 Gumma-II of Gram Panchayat, Gumma Developmnet Block Paddar District Mandi. The Commission has ordered that all proceedings would start de-novo as and when notified by the Commission.
The State Election Commissioner, T.G. Negi stated that the procedure prescribed by the Commission was not complied with letter and spirit and the election process was vitiated by the inaction of field machinery. Keeping this in view, the Commission has directed to invalidate all the proceedings undertaken for the conduct of by-election.
