Himachal Pradesh Shiv Sena lodged a complaint to the Chief Secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh, referring to misuse of funds allocated for plantation drive and civil work to the forest department.
Shiv Sena state spokesperson Brij Lal, in his written complaint, raised question over the civil work done in the 13 divisions including Rampur, Bharmour, Keylong, Una, Luhri, Lahaul & Spiti, Bilaspur, Nurpur, Sundernagar, Banjar, Karsog, Sarahan and Nachan forest division, where as per the RTI revelation, Rs. 13,37,93,357/- had been spent.
Brij Lal claimed the officials were not competent to give sanction to carry out civil work. He also questioned the funds spent on the plantation drive in 13 divisions. He said that Rs. 12, 34, 49,300/- were spent on plantation drive on 3800 hectare, which he believes is beyond the actual position.
