Himachal Pradesh cricketer Rishi Dhawan will play for Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League (IPL) this season. He fetched a stunning Rs 3 crore bid from Kings XI Punjab.
All-rounder Rishi Dhawan was in Kings XI Punjab team in 2008 and last year he played for winning Mumbai Indian.
Rishi had a dream run in the latest Ranji Trophy championship where he was the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He also contributed with bat for his team, but due to the lack of support from other teammates, he could not make Himachal through to the knock out stage. Riding on his performance both with the bat (five half centuries in eight mathces) and bowl (49 wickets), Himachal team had dominated the Group C table till the last, but one bad match had cost its chance to the next stage.
