Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal lambasted at Congress leaders for levelling baseless charges and demanded a CBI inquiry into a case pertaining to the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje.

In a press statement, Leader of opposition asked Govt to initiate CBI inquiry that so that all the facts could come to light. A case is pending in a court. Prem Kumar Dhumal accused Congress leader for levelling false allegations and interfering in the functioning of the court.

Dhumal said that Congress leader’s allegations that the case was not properly investigated, was totally wrong as it was probed by various investigating agencies and the challan was put up in the court. He added that the accused were quizzed by the Intelligence Bureau, the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department and the matter is now sub judice.

Two times Chief Minister said since the Congress was in power at the Centre and in Himachal, it could get the matter investigated so that the truth could be known.
