Himachal’s Revenue department has started the recruitment process to 778 posts of patwaris that are lying vacant in various districts. The last date for applying for these posts is November 2, 2013.
The minimum eligibility criteria to appear in the test are 10+2 exam from a recognized board of school education or university. Candidate should be between the age group of 18-45. Interested candidates can apply for these posts using prescribed peforma and they will have to submit the form in the office of concerned Districts Commissioners. The interested candidates must have knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the state.
Candidate will have to submit the prescribed Performa alongwith the following documents:-
Demand Draft of Rs.200/-for General Category Candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST Candidates in favour of concerned Deputy Cornmissioner. One self addressed envelope duly stamped.
The syllabus for examination will be of 10th (Matriculation) level containing Arithmetic, English, Hindi and General Knowledge.

Posts of patwaris are divided by district wise and out of 778 posts, 10 posts are for Bilaspur, 49 for Chamba, 83 for Hamirpur, 225 for Kangra, 7 for Kinnaur, 29 for Kullu, 8 for Lahaul-Spiti, 154 for Mandi, 54 for Shimla, 45 for Solan, 40 for Sirmour and 74 for Una district.
