A high-level Central team, headed by Veena Kumari Mina, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, visited various flood and rain-affected parts of the Kinnuar and Sirmaur district.
Four members team visited Reckong Peo and its adjoining rain ravaged areas. The team will further visit Pooh and Gyabong today by road and Sangla on July 25 before returning to Shimla.
Amandeep Garg, Special Secretary, State Disaster Management Authority, the Engineer-in-Chief of both the Public Works and Irrigation and Public Health (IPH) Departments, and the Director, Horticulture also accompanying the Central team.
While two member of Central team visited Sirmaur district and assessed damage in district. Today this team will leave for Mandi to assess the damage.
