Mental Health Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre, Boileauganj organised a State level one day function on the World Mental Health Day here today.
Principal Secretary Health Ali Raza Rizvi presided over the function. Various issues relating to mental health and the problems of patient suffering from mental disorders were discussed in the workshop. Rizvi directed the authorities to also solve the problems being faced by such patients, if any.
A Yoga Shivir was also organised on the occasion. He said that the day promotes open discussion of mental disorders, and investments in prevention, promotion and treatment of patients suffering from such disease.
The theme for the day was “Depression: A Global Crisis”. He said that we hope to help increase awareness of these disorders and its treatment. Dr. D.S. Chandel, Director Health, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Director Health safety and Regulation and other officers of the department were present on the occasion.
