In a major set-back for HPCC chief Kaul Singh Thakur, who is dreaming to head the Congress Govt if voted into the power, AICC general secretary and in-charge of Himachal Pradesh Chowdhary Barinder Singh has quashed all the nominations made by him to DCCs and PCC after July 27.

Chowdhary Barinder Singh his statement has declared that the programme, inviting recommendations from Block Congress Committees (BCC) and District Congress Committees (DCCS) on July 27 and all the nominations to the DCCs or PCC after that date have been quashed.

Senior Congress leader Virbhadra Singh had raised serious objection to the nominations made by the HPCC President to DCCs and PCC and said these were not in accordance with norms and demanded that all these nominations be cancelled. Whereas on the other side Kaul Singh Thakur always tried to justified his nominations as “constitutional” and maintained that these had been made in consultation with DCCs and PCC.
