Senior Congress leader GS Bali’s ambitious Rozgar Sangharsh Yatra concluded at Kangra, where he got a rousing reception by his supporters. GS Bali had organised this yatra to highlight the unemployment issue in the state.
The Rozgar Sangharsh Yatra was managed in three phase, which was flagged-off by AICC general secretary Birender Singh, HPCC chief Kaul Singh and CLP leader Vidya Stokes on June 7 from Sidhbari at Dharamsala, concluded after paying obeisance at the Brajeshwari Mata temple.
The third and last phase of the yatra was started on June 27 from Chitkul and passed through Sangla, Karcham, Rikangpio, Jeuri, Rampur, Narkanda, Theog, Shimla, Bilaspur, Ghumarwin, Hamirpur, Nadaun, Jwalamukhi and concluded at Kangra.
GS Bali in a statement to press claimed Rozgar Sangharsh Yatra as successful, covered all the districts of the state except Lahaul and Spiti and people of this district joined the yatra at Shimla. He said that during the yatra Congress volunteers interacted with unemployed youth and 39,700 such youths filled forms and returned to volunteers so that an unemployment redressal policy could be framed in the future. He said that youth is our asset and we need to ensure their better future. It will help to spur the growth of the state and will also help socially. He target BJP government for the apathy of youth and increasing rate of unemployment in the state and added that when returned to the power Congress will ensure the better employment opportunities for the youth.
