Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that terrorism was a big challenge before the Nation and coordinated efforts needed to be made to demoralize the divisive forces. He was speaking on the occasion of function organised by Shahid Parivar Fund at Jalandhar today.

Chief Minister said that divisive forces were the major impediment in the way of the development of the nation and there was a dire need to curb such forces. He said that terrorists not belonged to any religion, caste and creed and they are not benefactor of any community or section. In the past, Punjab witnessed a fear of terrorism and thousands of families affected by this misdeed.

Prof. Dhumal said that rehabilitation of terrorism affected families was the responsibility of everyone. He lauded the role of Shahid Parivar Fund of Hindi Samachar Group for providing financial assistance to the terrorism affected families from time to time.

Anurag Thakur, MP and National President of BJP Yuva Morcha said that terrorism was spreading its roots in the country which should be checked with integrated efforts by rising above the political considerations.

Kabil Sibbal, Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Prakash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab, Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Health Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Kuldeep Sharma, Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Kaul Singh Thakur, MLA and Saint Kashmira Singh, eminent social activist also spoke on the occasion.
