To unite the divided house of Himachal BJP, newly appointed State Chief Satpal Satti is making efforts to woo back dissident camp within the party. Satti held meeting with some of the leaders from Kangra owing allegiance to Senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar. The main motive behind meeting was to open channels with the dissident camp and address their grievances, so that the party could take on the opposition Congress unitedly in the upcoming Assembly poll. In the meeting, dissidents have laid down some conditions before the party chief, before they abandon their defiant posture.

Satpal Satti is also aiming to woo back the breakaway group led by former MP Maheshwar Singh, who had formed a new political outfit ‘Himachal Lokhit Party’
