The state Congress has accused the ruling BJP of misusing government machinery at Chief Minister’s rally organised at Gurchal on the occasion of the foundation-laying ceremony of the Phina Singh irrigation project.
In the press conference, State Congress general secretary Ajay Mahajan said despite spending huge amount of money for organising the rally, it had flopped as the government employees, anganwari and MNREGA workers were forced to be present at the rally.
He also criticised the Chief Minister and local MLA for trying to garner credit for the ambitious Phina Singh irrigation project as they had done nothing for its clearance. Ajay Mahajan also alleged misappropriation of funds in the initial works undertaken before laying the foundation stone of the Phina Singh irrigation project.
