Revenue Minister Thakur Gulab Singh said that State Government will conduct training session to Patwaris and Kanungos of Land Settlement Department in settlement works. Thakur Gulab Singh said it while addressing a joint Patwaris and Kanungos Association meeting of Land Settlement Department here today. He said that for uniform and better land settlement works and revenue records, untra- modern survey equipments will be used for training of the Patwaris and Kanungos. He said that State Government is committed to provide better land settlement record and prompt services to the people of the State for which field staff also played vital role and needed timely update and training of latest technology.
Revenue Minister said that Government is considering to appoint Chainman to the working Patwaris under MNREGA so that land demarcation works can implemented properly. He said that it would also provide employment avenues to the rural unemployed youth nearer to their homes. He said that all vacant posts in the Department will fill on priority basis so that people will not face any difficulty for their works. He also assured that pay anomaly of working contingent patwaris will soon be decided and added that other genuine demands of the Association will be considered sympathetically.
Principal Secretary Revenue Deepak Sanan stressed on better working facilities to the Patwaris and Kanungos. Earlier Des Raj, President, Joint Land Settlement Patwaris-Kanungos Association welcomed the Revenue Minister and apprised him of various other demands of the Association. Senior officers of Land Settlement Department, Hans Raj, General Secretary, and other office bearers of the Association also attended the meeting.
