Himachal Pradesh shooter Vijay Kumar gave India’s first Silver medal in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event at the London Olympics. He scored 30 in eight series of 4 seconds each.
This is the second medal for India at the London Games. Another Indian shooter Gagan Narang had wom a bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle event. Leuris Pupo of Cuba won Gold with the final score of 34 equaling the World Record. Feng Ding of China took the bronze medal.
