With landslides posing a threat to Clarke’s Hotel has been forced to close down for three months. Not only has the access road to the hotel collapsed due to construction work on the Lawyers Chambers along the Cart Road, but a portion of its garden also gave way.
Officials at the hotel confirmed that a decision had been taken to suspend bookings for three months and the guests staying there currently were gradually checking out. They pointed out that the main access to the hotel had given way, causing inconvenience to the guests in approaching the hotel.
