Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, today dedicated and performed foundation stone laying ceremony of 11 developmental schemes in Una Assembly constituency valued at Rs. 76 crore. An ambitious Sewerage Scheme of Rs. 11.17 crore was also dedicated to the people of the town.
Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the third Phase of Rs.1000 crore ambitious Swan River Channelization Project, at Santokhgarh, to channelise the river down-stream between Santokhgarh Bridge to the border of Punjab State. The 7.5 kilometre long stretch would be channelized at a cost of about Rs.50 crore and re-claim about 480 hectares of farm land.
Prof. Dhumal also laid foundation stone of Astro-Turf Hockey Field at Indira Stadium in Una, estimated to cost Rs. seven crore with modern facilities to the budding hockey players of the State and also gave a cheque of Rs.1.5 crore to the PWD authorities to carry on the work soon.Chief Minister also dedicated causeway bridge over Jalgran Khad, completed at a cost of Rs.1.07 crore, Government High School Building at Jalgran, completed at a cost of Rs.35 lakh and building of Government High School, Badehar, completed at a cost of Rs. 35 lakh and Rs. 80 lakh PHC Building at Basdehra. He performed the foundation stone laying ceremony of widening of road to Una bridge, estimated to cost Rs. 3.41 crore, police barracks at IRB Bangarh, estimated to cost Rs. 1.94 crore, Mini Stadium at Dehlan estimated to cost Rs. 62 lakhs and performed Bhoomi Poojan of HRTC Workshop at Rampur Bela, estimated to cost Rs. 85.28 lakh.
