A meeting of Himachal Pradesh Local Bodies Employee Federation was held here today. Transport Minister Mahinder Singh Thakur presided over the meeting.
The Minister said that the State government was endeavored towards the welfare of its employees and had provided them various financial benefits from time to time. He said that employees play an important role in disseminating the policies and programmes of the government to the people adding that the government was ever ready to consider their genuine demands on priority.
He said that a committee would be constituted to consider the demand of the federation for creating State Cadre for the employees of local bodies and the government would sympathetically take into consideration their suggestions.
