Vikramaditya Singh, Raghubir Bali appointed General Secretary, Ashish Butail Treasurer
Shimla: Ahead of the parliamentary election 2019, the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee has formed a jumbo committee. The committee now consists of 15 vice-presidents, 18 general secretaries, 68 secretaries and 17 district chiefs.
Veteran Leader Virbhadra Singh is included in permanent invitee along with Mukesh Agnihotri, GS Bali, Pratibha Singh, Anand Sharma, Vidya Stokes, Asha Kumari and seven others. Former Congress president Sukhvidner Singh has been included in executive committee. Sudhir Sharma, Rohit Thakur, Rajesh Dharmani and seven others aremember of the committee.
Palampur legislature Ashish Butail has been appointed Treasurer of the state unit. He is son of Congress Veteran and former Vidhan Sabha speaker Brij Bihari Lal Butail.
With this jumbo team, newly appointed state party president Kuldeep Singh Rathore has given rest to all speculations of replacing some leaders appointed during the Sukhvidner Singh Sukhu tenure. Rathore hasn’t tempered with any, but appointed few more in his team. Kuldeep Rathore said that he has included two new faces of Youth Congress Vikramaditya Singh and Manmohan Katoch in his team. Rathore reiterated to work in the field and reinvigorate the grass root level workers to ensure party victory in the forthcoming parliamentary election.
