Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government has extended last date for making AADHAR based computerized ration cards upto 15th February, 2014.
The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department has appealed to the consumers who had not deposited their forms for making AADHAR based computerized ration cards, to deposit the same with the concerned Panchayat Secretary in rural areas and Food Inspector of Food and Civil Supplies or at their nearest fair price depots.
AADHAR based computerized ration cards were being made under National Food Security Act with aim to improve the service and to make system more transparent.
