Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) today criticised BJP for submitting chargesheet to Governor of the state and termed it as bundle of lies. HPCC Spokesperson Naresh Chauhan believes that BJP’s chargesheet was aimed at diverting the attention of general public from the scams committed by its leaders during its regime.

Chauhan said that it is routine practice on the part of BJP as they had presented such chargesheets in the past and the present chargesheet of BJP is also a mere publicity stunt.

“The former BJP led government was involved in various scams in the state which include HPCA, phone tapping and land grabbing case and the state government has already started vigilance inquiry into these cases,” Chauhan said, adding that the opposition party is merely trying to divert the attention of general public from the scams committed by its leaders during its regime by levelling false allegations on Congress government and its leaders.

HPCC spokesperson said that but BJP won’t be succeed in its agenda as law will take its own course and those found guilty in these scams will be punished as per the laws.
He said that former BJP led government had levelled various allegations of corruption against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh which were quashed by the court.

He added that the State government in its one year tenure has taken many decisions in the interest of general public and the state government has fulfilled many promises made to the general public in the party’s election manifesto. “Our government had started various schemes in the interest of general public as Skill Development Allowance scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Ann Yojna and free travelling facility to government school students,” he added.
