Shimla: In a meeting of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), presided over by Ritesh Chauhan, Director Transport here today, it was deiced that 40 percent seats would be reserved in HRTC and private buses for senior citizens, patients suffering from cancer, physical disabled commuters and women within the buses plying in the radius of 50 kilometers from 20th December, 2013.
Bus operators would have to mark the seats reserved for special category commuters on left side in the buses.
Senior officers of the State Government and representatives of private bus operators union were also present in the meeting.
