In a race among the Congress ruled states to launch the UPA government’s flagship programme-Food Security Scheme, Food and Civil Supply Minister GS Bali working hard to make Himachal Pradesh the first state in the country to launch it.

G S Bali revealed that he has even issued instructions to the concerned officials to work on the proper delivery channels and other aspects of the scheme. He is hoping to streamline the process in the next ten days. To assess the preparedness of the scheme, Bali has also scheduled a meeting in this regard in the last week of this month.

UPA government is launching Food Security Scheme on August 20, which is happened to be birthday of former Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi.
