Hamirpur Parliamentarian and Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) National president Anurag Thakur has blamed state Congress leaders for leveling baseless allegations against him.

While speaking to press at Hamirpur, Thakur blamed certain Congress leaders (without naming anyone) for leveling false allegations against him. He accused that these leaders were just trying to be in a limelight. He ridiculed the reports of his involvement in land scam in state and dared Virbhadra Singh government to action against him.

Anurag Thakur also criticized the UPA government and claimed it to fail on every front. He said that during UPA regime record corruption cases have come up and many cabinet ministers had to resign from their post. He said that Manmohan Singh led UPA government has failed to address issues of common people and will be remembered for scams.

Thakur added that the BJYM had launched an agitation programme to expose corruption of the Central Government and also demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, which has received tremendous response, he claimed.
