A delegation of Kunihar area of Arki Assembly Constituency led by Pradhan Gram Panchayat, Hatkot, Rajender Thakur called on Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
Rajender Thakur apprised the Chief Minister that Gram Panchayat Hatkot had been conferred Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Pururskar-2013 on 24th April, 2013 at New Delhi by Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. He invited the Chief Minister to visit Kunihar on 21st May and requested him to inaugurate the recently upgraded Government Senior Secondary School and Sewerage Scheme in Kunihar.
Chief Minister said that the State Government was committed for overall development of the State besides providing transparent and responsive administration to the people. He said that panchayats play a pivotal role for the development of rural areas and sought cooperation of the panchayati raj representatives to achieve the goal.
Member, State Congress Committee Prakash Karar, BDC Chairperson, Shakuntla Devi, BDC Member Jagdish, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kunihar, Krishan Chand, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kothi, Anil Tanwar and former President, Youth Congress, Sanjay Thakur were also present on the occasion.
