Met department forecasted more rain and snow in the coming week. A meteorological department official stated that the certain areas in the state are likely to experience intermittent spells of snow and rain.
He said chances of snow in the higher reaches of Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, Shimla, Kullu and Sirmaur districts are high.
The Met department’s forecast said the western disturbances – storm systems originating from the Mediterranean Sea and moving across the Afghanistan-Pakistan region – would remain active in the region till Jan 31.
