A spokesperson for Apeejay University clarified that the delay in sending a copy of its notified Act to the UGC was due to the enforcement of the model code of conduct in the state.
Tribhuwan Pratap Singh of Apeejay University said that the Act pertaining to the establishment of our university has been passed by the state Legislature in its last session held in August 2012 and due to elections, the model code of conduct was enforced and the Act was not signed by the Governor.
