Reacting swiftly to calm the media wrath, HPCC President Virbhadra Singh has apologized to the media for his threat that their cameras would be broken when reporters questioned him about the latest set of corruption allegations against him.

In a press conference at Shimla party office he apologized and said that he didn’t want to offend anyone. He added that he respect media and lauded their job. However earlier Congress spokesperson has apologized about the incident.

While talking to the media person, Singh said that the BJP has launched a vicious political campaign against him and trying to malign his image to gain the cheap publicity ahead of the poll. He said that the BJP has fell down to its lowest level and thinking that by defaming him their candidates will get votes. He said that common public is his real power and November 4 poll will clear everything.

Virbhadra Singh also brushed aside allegations by BJP and others of income tax evasion, money-laundering and forgery as “false and fabricated” and had threatened action against those behind the “malicious” campaign ahead of Himachal assembly polls. He also threatens to take legal action and file defamation case against his distracters.
