Denied Ticket from BJP, Former BJP Minister and Sundernagar MLA Roop Singh Thakur has announced to contest the Assembly elections as an Independent candidate.
He announced to file the nomination papers on October 16 as an Independent.
Many party workers Sundernagar block of BJP were demanding ticket for Roop Singh Thakur. He has been elected record six-time for assembly and with his candidature, BJP official nominee may cost dear in this poll.
However, apart from Sundernagar, BJP is also facing uphill task in Nachan and was unable to control its workers who were annoyed over the denial of the ticket to district BJP president Dile Ram. After meeting senior leader PK Dhumal, he had agreed to do the party work. But many party workers have decided not to support the BJP candidate and were seen attending camp of other candidates.
