Political wrangle at newly carved Sujanpur Assembly constituency taking interesting turn as Congress and BJP are hoping to start with winning side. On one side the National President of the Mahila Congress and Congress candidate from Sujanpur Assembly, Anita Verma, is hoping to cash in on the infighting in the BJP, whereas on the other side, BJP candidate Urmil Thakur is relying on the popularity of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in his home district, which she hopes will help her sail through in the electoral battle. Meanwhile, BJP dissident Rajinder Rana, who is contesting an independent, looking to spoil the party for both the women candidates.

Congress candidate Anita Verma sounds confident of her victor. She alleged that BJP failed to accelerate the development pace of the district. Political observers claiming that Rana can pose threat to BJP candidate Urmil Thakur, Urmil Thakur denied it and said that local people had their loyalty towards the party. She claimed that the BJP government had carried out several development works in the constituency. Whereas, Rajinder Rana ruled out all speculation of political observers and is confident of his victory from Sujanpur.

All three candidates are working hard to persuade electors and leaving no stone unturned for the November 4 poll. Results of the Sujanpur Assembly segment will be interesting as Congress and BJP has fielded their best and renowned candidates from the seat and with the candidature of Rajinder Rana, once a close confident of Prem Kumar Dhumal, making it triangular fight.
