Congress senior leader Virbhadra Singh has given rest to the all speculation about quitting Congress or forming new political outfit in state. Virbhadra Singh made clear that he would neither quit Congress nor join or float any other party but would give up politics if the issues raised by him are not addressed. He said that he is true Congressman and he had served this party from last fifty years. While talking to the mediaperson, Virbhadra Singh today said

I will not quit Congress or join or float a party and prefer to quit politics in case the issues raised by me are not addressed

He said that for the forthcoming assembly election State Congress need some preventive measures and will bring shortcomings within the state Congress before party Chief Sonia Gandhi so that timely course correction can be adopted. He added that

I respect the leadership of Sonia Gandhi. We will bring shortcomings within the party to her knowledge ahead of the elections so that these can be overcome timely.

Virbhadra Singh today had daylong discussion with his trusted congress leaders of the State. The outcome of the meeting is still unknown, but Singh’s announcement over his political fallout must have given some respite for the opposition Congress. State is scheduled for poll in later this year and presence of Virbhadra Singh can made difference in the election.
