The Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (HPSIDC) approved the release of enhanced daily wages to the daily waged employees from Ist April, 2012. The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of Board of Directors held here today under the Chairmanship of Industries Minister, Kishan Kapoor.
The Minister lauded the efforts of the management and said that HPSIDC had made remarkable improvement in its working during last four years. Kapoor stressed to make concerted efforts to achieve the targets fixed for current financial year.
He said that the recovery under the term loan portfolio was satisfactory and corporation was confident of achieving the projected target of Rs. seven crore. He said that the corporation had supplied 5150 metric tonne of bitumen to PWD through its marketing wing during the Ist quarter of current financial year.
Managing Director, HPSIDC Bharat Khera gave overview of the operation of the corporation for the quarter ending June, 2012. The Board also reviewed the activities of the engineering wing of the corporation and desired that due emphasis would be laid on timely completion of works along with maintaining high quality standard. The Board also approved the regularization of three daily wages workers. Besides, it also reviewed the progress of sale of industrial plots in the newly developed industrial estate at Davni near Baddi in district Solan.
Minister also presided over the 184th meeting of Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh General Industries Corporation and directed that the working of the corporation should be improved specially in regard to furniture industries so that the sale potential of these products could be increased.
Managing Director, HP Financial Corporation, Sushil Sirivastva, Special Secretary Finance, Priyatu Madal, Additional Director Industries, Sharab Negi and other officers were present in the meeting.
