The Himachal Pradesh government has decided not to provide power to UP until state clears its pending dues. UP has been taking power from Himachal from time to time as per the need. Himachal chief secretary Sudripta Roy said that UP was asked to pay the pending amount due since last one and half years, but authorities there not paying its bills.
Chief Secretary S Roy made clear that Himachal Pradesh will not accede any request from UP Govt. he said “Our policy is clear now. Unless Rs 200 crore is paid, no request for power supply from UP will be entertained,”
