Rural Development and Panchayati Raj department is conducting three days training program to the elected PRIs representatives for the second phase. In this three days programme PRIs representatives will be trained for financial management, implementation and management of development works by the panchayats etc.

Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that directions had been issued to all the BDOs and District Panchayat Officers. He said that on the demand of PRIs representatives, the Government had taken a decision to give honorarium of Rs. 100 per day adding that it would be applicable to only those trainees who would attend all the sessions regularly. There are as many as 27582 elected representatives who will participate in the training and an expenditure of Rs. 1.5 crore would be spent on the same.
