Chief Minister gave a clarion call to the corporate sector in the State to discharge their corporate responsibility towards the people of the State by contributing liberally towards the developmental & social welfare activities. He was speaking on the occasion of Golden Jubilee celebration of Bhilwara Spinning Mills Group which had executed 86 MW Malana-I Hydro Electric Project in Kullu District of the State.

Chief Minister said that various organizations were coming forward with their liberal contributions towards various activities in the State, especially in creating quality sports infrastructure to channelize energy of the youth towards positive activities. He said that Himachal Pradesh was poised to emerge an International level sports destination for which quality infrastructure was being created in collaboration with corporate sector. He said that with availability of sports infrastructure, youth would be saved of falling prey to the drug paddlers who had been targeting the innocent youth by making them drug addicts. He said that sports could play a pivotal role in saving the youth besides identifying their sports talent so that they could earn laurels to the State. He said that the State was capable of hosting national and international level sports events which would further get boosted up with creation of more sports infrastructure. Dhumal said that the Bhilwara Spinning Mills Group had made a record by constructing 86 MW Malana hydro electric project in 30 months. He said that as a measure of incentive the State Government had reduced the cess from 10 paisa per unit to 6 paisa per unit for completing the project ahead of its scheduled time. He congratulated the group on its Golden Jubilee Celebration and hoped that the company would also be coming forward to discharge its corporate responsibility towards the people of the State.

Chief Minister also honored the people who had contributed significantly towards the construction of the Malana HEP. L. N. Jhunjhunwala, founder chairman of the company welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for the support he had extended in completing the project. He reminded the audience that it was due to the cooperation extended by Prof. Dhumal that the Malana project was completed in a record time. Gulab Singh Thakur, Public Works Minister, Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Vidya Stokes, Leader of Opposition in State Legislative Assembly, Suresh Bhardwaj and Gobind Thakur, MLAs, Karan Singh, former MLA, Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Principal Secretary, Finance, Manisha Nanda, Principal Secretary, Tourism, A.
