Principal Secretary, Tourism & Civil Aviation, Manisha Nanda while presiding over the review meeting of Tourism Department & HP Tourism Development Corporation directed officers to complete the ongoing developmental works of about Rs 17 crore being executed in the state under various circuits within a stipulated time period.
She said that a parking at the cost of Rs 50 lakhs would be developed in Shimla. For the information of the visitors the rural destinations, selected under ‘Har Gaon Ki Kahani’ would be indicated on gantries on the highways. The Department has selected 12 villages in the state under ‘Har Gaon Ki Kahani’.
Development of parks, parking, wayside amenities, tourist interpretation centers, construction of viewing towers, camping sites, installation of signages, gantries, improvement of solid waste & sewerage management, and public conveniences etc will be developed.
