The 15-day Manimahesh pilgrimage in Chamba district started today. This year government is expecting 700,000 devotees. The pilgrimage that began on Janmashtami will end on Radhashtami, the birth of Krishna’s companion Radha on Sep 5. Manimahesh trek is about 14-km from the Hadsar base camp that include tuff mountainous route and glacial.

Deputy Commissioner Sharab Negi assures about the arrangements, and said that the government is providing temporary tents for the devotees.
