Anna Hazare was due to start his much touted fast from today, but amidst the high drama and government extreme step, he was sent to Tihar jail where dreaded criminals and other fraudulent are paying for their wrong deed.

In the protest for Anna Hazare arrest, several activists began an indefinite hunger strike in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi town to press for a strong anti-corruption Lokpal bill and express solidarity with civil society leader Anna Hazare, who was detained early morning in the national capital. Sizeable activist in Vikas Nagar Shimla also protest against the government atrocity in the morning and demanded immediate release of Anna and his supporters.

Anna’s arrest was regrettable and condemnable. Around 250 of his supporters, including activist Arvind Kejriwal and former top cop Kiran Bedi, were also detained.
