Principal Secretary Tourism & Civil Aviation Manisha Nanda said that Department of Tourism will initiate a drive in all the Districts to check hygiene, cleanliness and services of the Hotels and Restaurants. The officials of the Department of Tourism will especially check the facilities like wash rooms, both ladies & gents are in proper condition with availability of water, napkins, tissue, etc., she added. She further added that, if found wanting cleanliness aspect, District Tourism Development Officers and Inspectors will take necessary action as per H.P. Tourism Development and Registration Act, 2002.
Principal Secretary said that daily information will compile by the Department of Tourism regarding number of inspections and the follow up done. The tourists and all the people using the facilities and can also inform the tourist information centre in this regard. The tourists should have the feel of ‘Himachal being truly Unforgettable’, she added.
