The BJP Haroli unit started a four-day protest against the alleged drug peddling in the Assembly segment.
Dozens of BJP workers, led by Ram Kumar Sharma and Jagjit Mankotia sat on a dharna at the Haroli block headquarters and accused police for not taking action against drug mafia.
BJP leader Ram Kumar alleged that thousands of youth of the region were hooked on drugs such as smack and poppy husk and recently a local youth had also died due to drug overdose.
Haroli BJP has demanded strict action against drug mafia and threatens to intensify their stir if administration failed to do so.
