Lahaul Spiti Janjatia Vikas Manch General Secretary Hira Lal Gaur sought a probe into the sub standard materials used in poly houses installed in Lahaul valley during the year 2010. Gaur alleged that under the Pandit Deen Dayal Bagwan Samridhi yojana,58 poly houses of 40 square mtr.,were installed but only 32 survived, because they could not bear the load of the snow. He said that aluminium structure channel and poly sheet used in the poly house were not as per the specifications required in the snow bound tribal areas. Gaur demanded that quality of all installed poly houses must be looked into, and defaulting contractor should be booked and blacklisted.
